The National Museum of Natural History has put together a fantastic website that allows users to take virtual tours of interesting places, cultures and scientific discoveries. The tours are filled with informative articles, amazing photos and spectacular graphics. Users can also access the museum's directory and its research and collections department from within this site.

The American Museum of Photography's website offers a collection of beautiful photographs dating back as late as 1840. The clarity, detail and color of the photographs are amazing. Because they are detailed graphics you will have to be patient when loading pages, but it's worth the wait. There are a variety of exhibits by a variety of artists to view as well as a gift shop where you can buy souvenirs from your "mini-trip".

The Museum of Modern Art's use of the Internet is as unique as the art it houses. At the MoMA's website you will find listings of current exhibitions, samples of art work (all quickly downloaded) and a online art store. The MoMA has also teamed up with some artists who use the Web as their medium and link with some very remarkable sites which combine interaction and art.
